The real new orleans farewell

A Send-Off As Remarkable As The Person.

Live jazz for funerals, memorials, and celebrations of life. Personal, dignified, and completely taken care of.

The music should feel like them

A funeral is one of the few moments in life where the details really matter. The right music doesn't just fill the space, it captures something true about the person you've lost.

It says, without words, exactly who they were and how much they meant. That's not something you can leave to chance. It's something you choose, carefully, with someone who understands the music.

How does it work?

You tell me about them. I take care of the rest.

You don't need to know anything about jazz to book this. You just need to tell me about your person, what they loved, what the day should feel like, where it's being held. I'll handle everything from there: the right musician, the right repertoire, the logistics with the venue or funeral director. On the day, you won't need to think about the music at all. It will simply be right.

Every setting. every style.

  • Jazz works beautifully across the full range of farewell occasions, a quiet, intimate ceremony at a crematorium, a larger celebration of life at a venue, or an informal wake at a home or private space.

I can organise everything from subtle background music for your wake, or the ever popular New Orleans style parade band to lead the coffin to the crematorium or church.

  • Everything from a 3 piece roaming band to a full 12 piece + a grand marshal. Everything is possible.

  • Some prefer to have something more intimate and in the background to create an atmosphere, static trios and quartets can be perfect for this.

"I don’t want it to feel like a funeral."

That's something I hear often. Families who want the day to reflect a life well-lived, not just mark an ending. The trend toward celebrations of life is real, and music is often at the heart of it.

A well-chosen musician can shift the entire atmosphere of a room: from grief alone, to grief and gratitude. That shift is worth everything.

  • “From the bottom of my heart thank you so much. you were amazing and it was exactly what we wanted. It was my dad’s lifelong request and you got it spot on.”

    Harry / Chester

  • “My dad always talked about being sent off in style with a new Orleans style band. When I discovered it was possible I was overwhelmed that I could fulfil his wish. A great way to celebrate someone’s life.”

    Kazik Pierlejewski

  • “You and the guys absolutely nailed it and everyone has commented that it was brilliant. Exactly what dad wanted and sounded great…you made the day today”

    Mr Laurie

There are no wrong questions.

If you're not sure whether live music is possible at your venue, whether a certain song can be played, or what format would work best, just ask.

I've worked with alongside crematoriums, churches, private homes, and event spaces across the UK. Whatever your situation, I'll give you a straight answer and a clear path forward.

When you're ready, I'm here.

There's no pressure and no obligation. Tell me a little about the person and the day, and I'll come back to you gently and promptly.
